Twin Falls 3, Canyon Ridge 1

TWIN FALLS — The Bruins clinched the top seed in the Great Basin Conference with a win over the rival Riverhawks on senior night at the Twin Falls High School football stadium.

Madison Bailey scored twice, and Ellie Jackson scored the other goal (Bailey assist) for Twin Falls (11-2, 9-0), which plays at Minico on Wednesday to end the regular season.

Laura Lopez scored in the second half (Jade Highley assist) for Canyon Ridge (7-6-1, 5-4), which hosts Jerome on Wednesday. That game will determine the No. 3 and No. 4 seed at districts.

Jerome 3, Burley 1

JEROME — The Tigers earned a Great Basin Conference win in their second-to-last game of the regular season.

Makali Nance scored twice in the first half, and Tonia Gutierrez scored in the second half for Jerome (4-8, 4-5), which plays at Canyon Ridge on Wednesday.

Nicole Anderton scored for Burley (4-10, 2-7), which wraps up the regular season at home Wednesday against Wood River. The Bobcats will be the No. 5 seed.

Wood River 12, Minico 0

HAILEY — The Wolverines cruised to a Great Basin Conference victory on Monday.

Wood River secured the No. 2 seed in the district tournament with the win.

Audra Mary (two goals), Emily Thayer, Kate Stone, Payton Bacca, Leah Thayer, Scout Hutchinson, Cristina Vega, Sarah Truxal, Denali Stevens and Sydney Roberts scored for Wood River (9-5-1, 7-2), which concludes the regular season Wednesday at Burley.

The No. 6-seeded Spartans (1-13, 0-9) host Twin Falls the same day.

Boys soccer

Wood River 6, Minico 0

RUPERT – The Wolverines secured the top seed in the Great Basin Conference with a dominant win on Monday.

Lucas Beste (Pablo Aguilar assist) and Audari Tamayo (Beste assist) scored in the first half, while Josset Guzman, Tiernan Naghsh, Rafael Muniz and Cole Reeves scored in the second half. Kevin Montes and Edgar Salamanca had assists in the second half.

Wood River (11-2-1, 7-1-1) wraps up the regular season at home Wednesday against Burley.

Minico (3-12, 0-9) plays at Twin Falls the same day.

Burley 1, Jerome 0

BURLEY – The Bobcats shut out the Tigers for a Great Basin Conference win.

Marco Magallon scored for Burley (8-5-1, 5-3-1), which plays at Wood River Wednesday to wrap up the regular season. The Bobcats will be the No. 3 seed at the district tournament.

Jerome (4-8-1, 3-5-1) hosts Canyon Ridge on Wednesday. The Tigers will be the No. 5 seed.

Volleyball

Declo 3, Filer 2

DECLO — The Hornets battled the Wildcats for 26-24, 25-18, 5-25, 24-26, 15-13 nonconference win Monday night.

Declo had 29 blocks as a team.

“It was a battle from the start,” Declo coach Heather Gibby said. “It just went back and forth the whole night, except for that one game. Every point was fought for.”

The Hornets (3-4) play at Kimberly on Wednesday, and Filer plays at Gooding next Tuesday.
