Twin Falls 3, Preston 1
TWIN FALLS — A strong second half lifted the Bruins to their first win of the season Saturday at the Sunway Soccer Complex.
The score was tied 1-1 at halftime, but Twin Falls quickly stormed ahead thanks to two goals from Guillermo Fregoso.
Danny Salas scored the Bruins’ lone first half goal.
Twin Falls (1-0-2) next plays at Great Basin Conference foe Wood River on Monday.
Bonneville 3, Minico 2
IDAHO FALLS — Bonneville earned its first win of the season in a nonconference home game on Saturday.
The score was 1-1 at halftime. Minico took a 2-1 lead, but Bonneville scored two straight goals to take the win.
Daniel Avila and Alejandro Murillo scored Minico’s goals.
The Spartans (2-2) host Great Basin Conference opponent Jerome on Monday.
Bliss 4, Mountain Home 0
MOUNTAIN HOME — The Bears remained undefeated with a nonconference win on Saturday.
Armando Cordoba scored two goals for Bliss, while Angel Juarez and Steven Rubio scored the other two.
The Bears (3-0) next play at conference rival Community School (4-0) on Tuesday.
American Falls 3, Gooding 1
GOODING — The Senators remained winless after a nonconference home loss on Saturday.
Armando Orozco scored the only goal for Gooding (0-2-1), which plays at Buhl on Tuesday.
Twin Falls 3, Preston 0
PRESTON — Twin Falls posted its second consecutive clean sheet on Saturday morning against Preston. The Bruins led 2-0 at halftime, and added an insurance goal in the second half. Madison Glascock scored two goals, and Lexi Rierson added a goal. Phoebe Valdez recorded a pair of assists.
Twin Falls (2-1) next hosts Wood River in its first conference game of the season on Monday.
