The accolades keep coming for Declo High School junior Keegan Duncan.

Two weeks after being named the 2A All-Idaho player of the year, USA TODAY named Duncan the offensive player of the year for the entire state of Idaho.

“The small school superstar is already making Div. 1 college teams take notice of him, leading the Hornets to a perfect 13-0 season and the Class 2A state championship,” USA TODAY wrote.

Duncan accrued 3,795 all-purpose yards and 42 touchdowns during the 2017 season. The running back/linebacker compiled 2,843 of those yards and 29 of those touchdowns on the ground.

Duncan was the only District 4 player to make the All-USA first-team offense, but two Gooding players made the first-team defense — senior linebacker Ruger Jennings and junior lineman Jake McGinnis.

The second-team offense featured Minico senior running back Larry Vega, Mincio senior lineman Juan Ruiz and Gooding junior wide receiver Cayden Loveland.

Highland senior Tommy Togiai — an Ohio State signee — was named the defensive player of the year, and Fruitland’s Ryan Tracy received coach of the year honors.
