PENDLETON, Ore. — The College of Southern Idaho volleyball team lost its first set of the season, but its undefeated record remained in tact.

On Wednesday night, the Golden Eagles beat Blue Mountain CC 25-16, 25-16, 22-25, 25-14. The match was their first since Saturday, when they completed a 4-0 performance at the Southern Nevada Tournament.

CSI’s Airi Miyabi led all players with 19 kills, and Morgan Weatherwax notched a game-high 39 assists. Teammate Jojo Kruize had a team-high 15 digs along with eight kills, and Makayla Bradford finished with 12 digs.

CSI (5-0) returns to action Friday at the Salt Lake CC tournament. The Golden Eagles are schedule to play Laramie County CC and Miami-Dade CC on day one of the two-day tournament.
