LACEY, Wash. — The first-year College of Southern Idaho cross country team soared on Saturday in its first meet of the season.

The CSI men’s team took first place, and the women took second St. Martins Invitational.

“I’m very pleased with where we are right now in the season,” CSI Head Coach Lindsey Anderson said in an article on CSI’s website. “It makes me very excited for what is to come.”

CSI’s Erik Fitzpatrick took first place in the 8K men’s race, and Shaylee Hill took second in the women’s 5K.

Elsewhere for CSI, Riley Taylor took seventh and Clayton Vandyke took eighth on the men’s side, while Kayli Draney placed seventh and Bailey Wall finished ninth in the women’s field.
