RICHMOND, Va. (AP) -- Tyler Cyr struck Mike Yastrzemski out with the bases loaded to end the game, leading the Richmond Flying Squirrels to a 4-2 win over the Bowie Baysox on Monday.
Richmond got on the board first in the third inning when Luigi Rodriguez hit an RBI single and Ali Castillo scored on a ground out.
After Richmond added a run in the fifth on a single by Rodriguez, the Baysox cut into the deficit in the sixth inning when Martin Cervenka hit a sacrifice fly, scoring Ademar Rifaela.
The Flying Squirrels tacked on another run in the eighth when Ronnie Jebavy hit a sacrifice fly, scoring Jonah Arenado.
Cory Taylor (2-0) went five innings, allowing one run and five hits to pick up the win. He also struck out three and walked three. Michael Kelly (0-1) went 4 1/3 innings, allowing three runs and five hits in the Eastern League game. He also struck out seven and walked two.
Castillo singled three times, scoring two runs in the win.
The Baysox left some scoring opportunities on the table, stranding 13 baserunners in the loss. Corban Joseph doubled and singled twice for the Baysox. Rifaela singled twice, scoring two runs.
