Here we go again. For the last eight years all we heard from the Republican Congress was: "The national debt is out of control, the national debt is out of control!" Kinda like "The sky is falling!"
So now they just passed a tax cut that will raise that national debt by $1 trillion. How smart is that? Oh yeah, their "trickle down" theory says lowly Americans will get bigger paychecks. Whoopee! They don't follow that up with "for a few years." Then taxes will be more than they are now (except for the wealthy) because we lowly people will have to start paying off that national debt again!
Takes me back to when George W. Bush came into office with a surplus (first one in 41 years) and promptly sent everyone $300, then just as promptly ran up the first $5.8 trillion of our now $20 trillion debt. The Republicans' hero Ronald Reagan increased the debt by 189 percent, G.H.W. Bush increased it by 55 percent and George W. Bush increased it by 86 percent. By contrast, Barack Obama only increased it by 35 percent, which included interest on the debt these jokers ran up. These are facts put out by the USA Treasury Department, look it up!
So ... why the eight-year fuss by this Republican Congress on Barack's "out of control spending?" God help us these next four years if Trump and this Congress are in charge.
