When looking at the state of Idaho’s GOP primary race, I am confused by two of the candidates who preach that they are strong conservatives when their history is in stark contrast to those affirmations. Tommy Ahlquist’s history of donating money to Democratic candidates and not voting for President Trump displays the falsehoods of his so-called “conservative vision” for Idaho. Brad Little’s history of voting to support expansion of taxpayer funding for Planned Parenthood is in complete opposition to the core values of conservatism.

While I don’t know what the perfect formula for Idaho is, I do know what Idaho doesn’t need — a Republican in name only or another establishment governor. Raul Labrador has a proven track record of upholding conservative Idaho values even if it’s in opposition to the GOP’s most powerful leaders. His history and his true conservative vision for Idaho is what our state needs.
