I read the story about future URA improvements to downtown Twin Falls this morning with interest. I frequently hear complaints from local business owners in that area about the two older motels that rent by the week. Why not purchase those hotels, tear them down, and put in storage container living parks that people can actually buy? There would be plenty of parking and with landscaping they could be an attractive addition to that area. That would solve two problems. Providing affordable downtown housing and cutting down on crimes committed by vagrants in that area. Also, instead of trying to attract a full grocery store in that area, how about a Trader Joe’s?
