Thank You Letters
A big thank you to the drivers in and around Buhl. My dog and I walk every morning from Jackson’s Corner to the Country Store and back. The respect and courtesy afforded us by Buhl drivers is heartwarming. A truck driver, driving a triple, pulled a little too far into our way once, and he actually backed up to let us pass. Please know that a minute or two each of you take to make my day better is much appreciated! I truly hope it makes your day as happy as it does mine!
On behalf of Interlink Volunteer Caregivers, thank you, Twin Falls city mayor and Council members for our recent grant award helping provide transportation to elderly, disabled and chronically ill citizens who no longer drive get to their healthcare appointments. IVC’s board of directors, volunteers and clients appreciate the belief you have shown in us to continue helping some of Twin Falls’ proudest citizens to remain independent in their homes. By awarding IVC this grant, you have made a real difference providing many Twin Falls’ citizens with the “gift of home!”
Along with the other nonprofit grant awardees, IVC is honored to partner with the Twin Falls City Mayor and Council members helping our community be the very best it can be!
Executive director, IVC
Thanks for the Memorial flags
A very sincere thanks is extended to everyone from the Gooding Community that helped the local VFW Post 3078 member place crosses and flags on the resting sights of about 600 veterans in Elmwood Cemetery on May 26 for Memorial Day. We also thank Jason Neil for his leadership in this project. VFW Auxiliary and American Legion Auxiliary blue flags were placed on their resting places too. Also one cross and flag was placed at the resting sight of the only known veteran in the Pioneer Cemetery. If anyone knows the grave sights of other veterans in The Pioneer Cemetery please contact VFW Chaplain Don Larson at 208-934-4887.
Elmwood Cemetery has one Medal Of Honor veteran (Army) from the Civil War.
