U.S. 30 work through Hagerman to start today
Traffic delays and temporary closures are expected through Hagerman starting today, as the Idaho Transportation Department conducts road preservation work along U.S. Highway 30.
Overlay paving of the highway between North Avenue and 2700 South Road is expected to last about a week, during which traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction. Drivers should watch for flaggers and be prepared for delays of up to 10 minutes, according to an ITD release.
Intersecting streets will be closed for short periods during roadway milling and for multiple hours during paving. Parking will not be permitted along State Street (U.S. 30) between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m.
Idaho Sand and Gravel of Jerome is the contractor for the $269,000 project.
