OAKLEY — Two people were killed and two were injured Saturday in a single-vehicle rollover south of Oakley.
At 7:10 a.m. Idaho State Police investigated the crash on Birch Creek Road, about 10 miles south of Oakley.
Dakota Glenn Cantu, 25, and Jared Anthony Taylor, 21, of Burley were in a 2005 Dodge 1500 pickup with William Paden Wells, 20, and Tyrell Jakob Smith, 21, of Oakley. The pickup was northbound.
While negotiating a curve in the roadway, the truck veered off the right side of the road and rolled. Cantu, Taylor and Wells were thrown from the pickup.
Taylor and Smith were flown to Portneuf Regional Medical Center. Cantu and Wells died from their injuries at scene.
None of the men were wearing seat belts, and police don't know who was driving.
Birch Creek Road was closed for about five hours. Police are still investigating.
