Franklin Ward Osterhoudt has been convicted of rape, incest and two counts of lewd conduct with a minor for the second time.

A jury levied the verdict mid-day Friday at the Twin Falls County Courthouse, finding him not guilty of two additional charges of lewd conduct with a minor.

This is the third trial Osterhoudt, 45, of Buhl, has faced on these charges and the second time a jury has convicted him.

In 2009, his first trial resulted in a hung jury. His 2010 conviction was overturned after Judge Barry Wood ruled that Twin Falls County Senior Deputy Prosecutor Julie Sturgill violated Osterhoudt’s Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination during closing arguments.

Sentencing is scheduled for April 11.
