BOISE — If you are an Idahoan who earned at least 24 credits before stopping out of college or a career technical program, you will soon have a chance to resume your education with assistance from the State Board of Education’s Opportunity Scholarship program.
The Idaho Legislature and Governor Otter made Opportunity Scholarship funds available to adult learners this past session. They also added $3.5 million to the program.
The State Board of Education will decide further eligibility and award details when it meets Wednesday-Thursday at the University of Idaho. It will post updates on its website at boardofed.idaho.gov/.
Opportunity Scholarship funds will be available to eligible adult learners starting July 1.
