NORTH FORK, Idaho - The Salmon River Road is blocked in two locations due to debris flow from a thunderstorm that moved through the area this afternoon, the Salmon-Challis National Forest said.

The road is blocked downriver from the Deadwater Recreation Area.

The Salmon-Challis forest estimates it will take at least a day and a half to clear the debris and reopen the road.

Forest visitors may access the areas downriver of the blockage via the Williams Creek and Panther Creek Roads.

Information on road conditions: North Fork Ranger District, 208-865-2700.
