August 18, 1957 – October 30, 2017

Born August 18, 1957 in Twin Falls, Idaho, to James Donald Russell Wilson and Cheryl Brady Wilson.

He is survived by his mother, Cheryl (Larry) Chastagner and his stepmother Joan Wilson, each of whom held a special place in his heart. Also survived by his brothers, Hugh (Debbie) Holbrook and Steve (Sharla) Wilson and his sister Kandee (Rod) Andersen, as well as his beloved children, Amber (Jeff) Holmes and Tucker (Danyell) Wilson and grandsons Cedric and Devon.

Russ spent his childhood side by side with his brother Rick, fishing, hunting, riding horses and herding cows. Inseparable, they roped and rode in high school rodeo, served in FFA and took turns bossing and protecting their little sister. Later they delighted in a baby brother. Rick’s death in 1976 hit Russ especially hard.

Russ graduated from Hagerman High School in 1977. After graduation he met and married Debby, the mother of his children. They lived in Boardman, Oregon, and Russ worked for Simplot. Russ spoke often of his joy on being reunited with his mother and his brother Hugh.

Russ loved trucks, and old country music. He was a kind hearted, fiercely loyal friend and brother and a loving father. He spent his life working on ranches and feedlots as a cowboy. His last years he worked as a loader operator.
