BLISS — Ralph Edward “Red” Gibbons, 84, a resident of Bliss, passed away on Monday, October 2, 2017 at his home in Bliss.
Ralph was born on December 2, 1932 in Bliss, Idaho, the son of Lawrence and Mattie Gibbons. He was raised and educated in Bliss where he graduated from Bliss High School. He then attended Boise Junior College for a short time.
Ralph served his country with the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Ralph had been married and divorced before settling down with his companion of many years, Genevieve “Jenny” Nelson.
During his working career he worked as a journeyman electrician and was a member of the I.B.E.W.
He is survived by: his son, Tom (Jessica) Gibbons of Bliss; his daughter, Lisa Rublacava of Gooding; his brother, Mike Gibbons of Caldwell; seven grandchildren and one great grandson.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Grant.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 13, 2017 at 4:00 PM at the Hagerman Cemetery in Hagerman. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Demaray Funeral Service – Gooding Chapel.
