Phyllis Jean Wales passed away February 7, 2018 in Kimberly, Idaho, she was 80 years old. Phyllis spent her last years living peacefully at Ashley Manor in Kimberly, Idaho surrounded by loving and caring caregivers and her son Ed as a frequent visitor. She was born on May 12, 1937 in Tucumcari, New Mexico and later attended school in Miami, Arizona. Phyllis moved to Twin Falls, Idaho in 1974 and in 1977 she moved to Gold Beach, Oregon and then Medford, Oregon in 1979. Phyllis remained in Medford until returning to Kimberly, Idaho in 2001 to be closer to her son. She was always looking for someone to take care of and anyone in need she would seek them out and help. Phyllis’ life was not always a happy one, she suffered the loss of 2 grandchildren and the dreams that go with that loss. She also suffered with undiagnosed mental issues that marred a life that was often challenging for her and her family but still she was loved deeply by her children, Ed (Christine) Bryant of Kimberly, Idaho, Sherri (Curtis) Rambo of Medford, Oregon, and Michael John Witherspoon of Idaho Falls, Idaho. Phyllis is also survived by her sister Pam (Mike) Murphy of Phoenix, Arizona, and grandchildren Joshua Bryant of Twin Falls, Idaho, Brianna Bennet and Tyler Bennet of Albion, Idaho and many nieces and nephews.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Edna (Moore) Chambers, grandsons Steven Bryant and Thomas “TJ” Proctor, and her brothers Paul Chambers and Leon Chambers and sister Debbie Chambers. There will be no service so in lieu of flowers the children request you make a donation to your local Children’s Miracle Network or Children’s Hospital.
