BURLEY — Lyle Edison White Hawk, age 66, of Burley, died Saturday, January 27, 2018, at his home.
Lyle was born April 14, 1951, to Roselyn White Hawk in South Dakota. When Lyle reached his late teenage years he joined the United States Army. Sometime after being discharged from the military he was married. Lyle and his wife later welcomed a baby girl into their life, they named her after his mother Roselyn. In or around 1985 Lyle and his wife were divorced. From then on Lyle lived out his life in Burley, Idaho. Lyle was a very warmhearted man who had a huge heart. He loved to make people laugh and smile. He was always willing to help out any way he could.
He was a proud Grandpa of 3, Adrianna 14, Devon 10 and Makayla 5. He loved to be called grandpa and always made sure his grandkids were spoiled. Lyle was a well-known person in Burley and in South Dakota. If you ask any of his family and friends they will all smile and say, “he was a good guy.” Lyle will be dearly missed.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 6, at Rasmussen Funeral Home, 1350 E. 16th St., in Burley, where military rites will be provided by the Mini-Cassia Veterans Organization. Interment will follow at the Pleasant View Cemetery.
A viewing will be held at the funeral home from 6 until 8 p.m. Monday, February 5, and from 10 until 10:45 a.m. prior to the funeral service.
