John Harrison Woody passed on to our savior on September 6, 2017 at home, surrounded by his loved ones (human and animal).
John was born on October 22, 1941 in Twin Falls, Idaho to Elmer and Margaret Woody. He was the first born to the new family. He was later joined by sisters, Nikki and Cheryl.
He graduated from Twin Falls High School in 1959 and then went on to get his certificate of Mechanical Engineering at Idaho State University. He married Marjie Smith and they had three wonderful sons: Brent, Jeff, and Kevin. They later divorced. He then married Judy Backlund in 1986. They remained devoted to each other until his death.
John spent most of his life in the Magic Valley, a place he dearly loved. He was a farmer, cattle (Charolais) rancher, and business owner (Clover Valley Processing). He enjoyed working in the fields, being outdoors, fishing, camping, and horseback riding. He adored his pets and loved all animals.
He is survived by his wife, Judy; sisters, Nikki Lewis and Cheryl (Dave) Fitzsimmons and their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren; sons, Brent (Judy) Woody, Jeff (Mindy) Woody, and Kevin (Andrea) Woody; two stepchildren; Tara (John) Nida and Darin Backlund; grandchildren, Matthew (Viviana) Woody, Michael Woody, Kandice (Christian) Jeppsen, Kyle Woody, Cameron Woody, Maddison Woody, Klayton Woody, Kaleb Woody, and Trevor (Jordan) Williams; five great-grandchildren, Roman, Presley, Ryder, Liam, and Harper. He will be missed by his fuzzy family too: Sam, Sadie, Casey, Tuxedo, and Taz.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a daughter-in-law, Paula Woody

A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at Amazing Grace Fellowship, 1061 Eastland Drive North, Twin Falls, Idaho.
