TWIN FALLS — James S. Partridge, 91, passed away October 27th at his home in Twin Falls, Idaho. Jim was born August 6th, 1926 in Hartford, Connecticut to Frank and Evelyn Partridge. He moved with his parents to Palm Springs, California at an early age. It was in Palm Springs that he met Mildred Krug, and they were married November 18, 1949. Together they had two sons while living in Palm Springs, and later moved to Idaho in 1955 where their daughter was born.
When their children were still small Jim and Millie began to study the Bible with Jehovah’s Witnesses. They were both baptized as Jehovah’s Witnesses on September 25, 1955. Despite having served in the Navy, he was eager to learn about the Bible’s promise for a time when war would be no more. Isaiah 2:4. He spent the majority of his adult life as a volunteer sharing the good news he had learned and teaching others about the Bible. This work was so important to him that In 1969 he moved his family to Quito, Ecuador for nearly 3 years and at the age of 80 he dedicated 70 hours a month in this volunteer ministry, and continued to do so for two years. He was still teaching the Bible’s message just 2 weeks before his death at 91.
