OGDEN, Utah – Antonio Tabares, age 73, of Ogden, Utah, and formerly of Burley, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2018, at Ogden Regional Medical Center.
Antonio was born January 1, 1945 in Saguayo, Michoacan, Mexico, the son of Juan Tabares and Consuelo Torres. He married Eva Torres Juarez, with whom he had nine children; then later married Rosa Olivo, with whom he had three children.
He is survived by his wife, Rosa Tabares; children, Carmen Tabares, Ricardo Tabares, Ivan Tabares, Luis Tabares, John Tabares, Jackie Tabares; grandchildren, Daniel Zamudio, Marco Zamudio, Yulissa Zamudio, Carlos Gardea; and great-grandchildren, Sofia Ramirez, Amari Ziggy Valle.
He was preceded in death by his parents; eight of his children; and one granddaughter.
The funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 7, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, 802 F St., in Rupert with the Rev. Father Gabriel Morales as celebrant. Burial will follow at the Pleasant View Cemetery in Burley.
A vigil service will be held from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday, February 6, at the Rasmussen Funeral Home, 1350 E. 16th St., in Burley.
