TWIN FALLS — No children were on board a school bus when a vehicle crashed into it Monday afternoon on Blue Lakes Boulevard North.

The crash was reported just before 3 p.m. in front of Les Schwab Tire Center.

The bus was heading to Harrison Elementary School and no children were on board, Twin Falls School District spokeswoman Eva Craner said.

There was minimal damage to the bus, which has a wheelchair ramp and transports special needs students.

After the bus was evaluated, it continued to Harrison Elementary to pick up students, Craner said. It was about three minutes late.

A car rear-ended the bus near the center turn lane. Traffic is backed up in the area.
