Flu vaccinations are still being administered in the Magic Valley. Scott Holliday, an emergency physician at St. Luke's Magic Valley Medical Center, strongly urges people to get vaccinated. 'It's not too late to get your flu shot now,' he says.


TWIN FALLS — It’s no secret it’s a severe flu season in Idaho and nationwide.

How many influenza-related deaths have been reported so far? The Idaho Department of Health & Welfare puts out weekly reports with that information on its website.

Here are the most recent statistics, from the week of Jan. 21-27:

51: Number of flu-related deaths in Idaho this season

49: Were among people older than 50

5: Were among south-central Idaho residents, all of whom were older than 50
