RUPERT — The Rupert Fire Department will hold its annual Christmas Tree Burn and Hot Dog Roast on Saturday, Jan. 27 at Neptune Park, S. Third St. and F Street in Rupert.

The event will begin at noon.

There will be coffee, hot chocolate and hot dogs.

“We have enough trees but anyone is welcome to bring their tree, but it must not have any lights or garbage on it,” Rupert Fire Chief Roger Davis said.

The pile of trees is not as big this year, he said, people apparently are moving away from using natural trees.

The event should be easy to spot.

“Look for the fire and smoke,” Davis said.

The roast is paid for by the fire department.
