HEYBURN — The candidate field for Heyburn city council narrowed to four Thursday after Nile Bohon withdrew from the race.
Bohon’s name will remain on the Nov. 7 ballot despite his withdrawal.
Incumbent Dick Galbraith is joined by Glen Loveland, Chad Anderson and Michael Covington, who will vie for the three open seats.
Anderson currently holds a two-year seat that Rose Schmitt is running for unopposed.
“As a former three term city councilman and Heyburn parent teacher organization president I understand how much time must be devoted to these positions,” Bohon wrote in an email to the Times-News. “Because of recent business and travel obligations I must withdraw my name from consideration for the councilman position. It will still be on the ballot, I’d just like to encourage everyone to vote for the other candidates.”
