PAUL • A crash that claimed the life of a Heyburn man last week remained under investigation Monday, with the Minidoka County Sheriff’s Office releasing scant details.

Richard Dale Blincoe, 88, died at the scene Thursday, according to Undersheriff Vic Watson.

Watson said Blincoe was northbound on 700 West Road and stopped at a stop sign at its intersection with 100 South Road. After stopping, Blincoe reportedly pulled into the path of an eastbound vehicle driven by 17-year-old Maria Rebecca Palacios of Paul.

Yesenia Gil Ramirez, 17, of Rupert, was a passenger, but it is unclear in which vehicle.

Both teens were transported for medical attention with non-life-threatening injuries.

Watson said the crash is still under investigation.

A funeral for Blincoe will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Paul LDS Stake Center, 424 W. Ellis St. Burial will be in the Paul Cemetery.
