TWIN FALLS — Martin Canyon road, three miles east of Bellevue, will be closed due to spring runoff.
The road is too damaged to drive on.
The Bureau of Land Management’s Shoshone Field Office is currently assessing the damage to the road.
The seasonal closure was going to be lifted on May 1, the damage to the road will postpone the road being opened.
“We are working on a path forward,” said Codie Martin, Field Manager with the Shoshone Field Office. “We need to figure out how much of the road may still be usable and what it will cost to repair damaged sections. In the meantime, however, we want folks to know that getting this road back to a safe and drivable condition may require a continued closure.”
