BOISE — The State Department of Education invites Idahoans to provide feedback on the state’s assessment system in an online survey, available through Feb. 16. Taking about 20 minutes to complete, the survey covers a variety of topics including costs, time spent on testing and alignment with standards. To access the survey, go to surveymonkey.com/r/SISKAI2017. The link is also posted on the Department of Education’s Facebook page and the department’s website at www.sde.idaho.gov.
Results of the survey and feedback from in-person focus groups, held in January, will be shared with the Idaho Assessment Task Force — a group empaneled by Superintendent of Public Instruction Sherri Ybarra to review the state’s comprehensive assessment system and make recommendations for a report to be shared with the State Board of Education later this year.
