It received a five-star rating for overall hospital quality, the hospital said in a statement Monday.
It’s among five Idaho hospitals — and the only one in the Magic Valley — to receive it.
“We work hard to provide the highest quality of patient care and it is wonderful to be recognized for our efforts,” North Canyon Medical Center’s chief executive officer Tim Powers said in the statement. “We remain focused on our mission and committed to providing levels of professionalism, advanced medical technology, and patient comfort that is without equal.”
Ratings are based on the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems Survey, where patients weigh in.
Hospitals are scored based on survey responses to questions about topics such as communication with medical providers, pain management, how clean the hospital is and whether a patient would recommend the hospital to others.
