TWIN FALLS — Conservative author and activist Pamela Geller has canceled her planned visit to Twin Falls.

Geller, who co-founded the group Stop Islamization of America, had planned to attend a rally on Aug. 3 to support a 5-year-old girl who, authorities say, was sexually assaulted by three boys from Iraq and Sudan last month, and then was to speak at Canyon Crest Dining and Event Center that evening.

However, Geller will no longer be coming here because of security concerns. The event at Canyon Crest has been canceled, according to the event's Facebook page.

Act for America founder Brigitte Gabriel's visit and speech, planned for 7 p.m. on Aug. 4 at the John Roper Auditorium, is still on.
