TWIN FALLS - The name of the man who died in a crash Saturday was released Monday morning by the Twin Falls County prosecutor.

Steven Gray, 25, died in the crash in the parking lot of the Fawnbrook apartments just after 1:45 a.m., Prosecutor Grant Loebs said.

Driver Cody Abbott, 23, of Twin Falls was charged with vehicular manslaughter. Abbot was arrested Saturday on suspicion of aggravated driving under the influence, but that did not result in a DUI charge.

Abbot is scheduled to be arraigned on the vehicular manslaughter charge Monday afternoon in Twin Falls County court.

Lifesaving attempts were made at the scene and Gray, the passenger in the vehicle driven by Abbott, was transported to St. Luke's Magic Valley Medical Center. He died as a result of his injuries, Twin Falls Police Staff Sgt. Dan Lewin said.

According to a death notice printed in the Times-News on Monday, Gray lived in Wendell and was formerly of Lancaster, Calif. Funeral arrangements are pending through Demaray Funeral Service in Gooding.
