RUPERT — Minidoka County School District patrons who missed the district’s first monthly town hall meeting on Feb. 26, can review what was discussed on a town hall page at Minidokaschools.org.
Patrons will find links to Town Hall meeting agendas, presentation materials and the questions that were discussed.
The next town hall meeting will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on March 12 at the District Service Center, 310 10th St., Rupert.
The topic of the next town hall meeting will be “Minidoka County Secondary Schools: Our Current Limitations and Future Potential.”
“We are looking for community input on the future of our high schools and middle schools. Our community is beginning to grow and we are looking for your input in the development of a school system that will attract families to our area,” Superintendent Ken Cox said.
Administrators, teachers, students, the school trustees and more than 45 patrons attended the meeting.
“We are looking for input from the community to help us plan for the future of the district,” School Board Vice Chairman Rick Stimpson said. “This is an ag community and we need to provide opportunities for our students to find good careers without having to leave our area.”
