TWIN FALLS • A Twin Falls man has been charged with aggravated battery following a shooting Saturday night on Tyler Street in Twin Falls.

According to Sgt. Luke Allen with the Twin Falls Police Department, alleged gunman Juan Jimenez is in custody at the Twin Falls County Jail. The victim, whose name has not been released, is in stable condition at St. Luke’s Magic Valley Medical Center, said Joshua Palmer, spokesman for the city of Twin Falls.

The victim told police Saturday night that his brother shot him, but it’s not known at this time if Jimenez is the victim’s brother.

At approximately 7:15 p.m. Saturday, Twin Falls police got a call of multiple shots fired at 121 Tyler St. in Twin Falls.

When police arrived on the scene, they found one man with a gunshot wound and multiple bullet casings nearby. The wounded man provided officers with the name of the man who allegedly shot him, telling officers it was his brother.

No one else was hurt in the shooting, which occurred outside. Police may release the name of the victim on Monday, Palmer said. Tyler Street from Shoup to Addison avenues was closed off for an hour Saturday night and was reopened about 9 p.m., he added.
