JEROME — A Jerome woman was taken to St. Luke’s Magic Valley Medical Center Thursday evening after hitting another car on U.S. 93.
Stephanie Morris, 28, crashed into a pickup truck from behind while driving southbound, according to a statement from Idaho State Police. The driver of the truck was Ismael C. Marez, 52, of Kimberly. Marez, who was traveling in the same direction, was trying to turn left when Morris collided with the back of the truck, police said.
Two juvenile passengers were also in Morris’s car at the time of the crash. They were both wearing seat belts, police said. Marez was also wearing a seat belt. Morris, however, was not. She was taken by ambulance to St. Luke’s, according to state police.
The crash happened around 5 p.m. near mile marker 55.
