OAKLEY — Idaho Fish and Game is looking for help finding the people who illegally killed at least two golden eagles near Oakley.
Josh Royce, regional conservation officer for Fish and Game, said the federally and state protected birds were shot in late April.
“We have been working on the information since then,” Royce said.
The eagles were killed within a half mile of each other about nine miles west of Oakley, off the north side of Mountain Road.
Killing eagles, falcons or raptors including hawks is illegal.
Evidence has been collected at the crime scenes.
Anyone with information on who killed the birds can call the Jerome office at 208-324-4359 or information may be turned over anonymously to Citizens Against Poaching (CAP) at 1-800-632-5999. Anyone providing information through CAP that leads to a conviction is eligible for a cash reward.
