BOISE • Former Twin Falls County 5th District Magistrate Judge Nicole Cannon is scheduled to enter a guilty plea and be sentenced today for a driving under the influence charge.

A two day trial for the case was originally scheduled to begin today, but was canceled.

The plea and sentence hearing is scheduled for 10 a.m. today in Ada County 4th District Court.

Cannon was charged with an excessive DUI when a Boise police officer made a traffic stop and gave her two tests allegedly showing a blood alcohol content of 0.239 and 0.221, nearly three times the legal limit to drive.

Cannon resigned her judgeship in late June.
