TWIN FALLS — Estrellita Strickler, recently selected as Mrs. Twin Falls, will compete in the 2018 Mrs. Idaho America Pageant on Oct. 7 and vie for the chance to represent the Gem State at the national Mrs. America Pageant and win a prize package valued at over $10,000.
The Mrs. Idaho American Pageant will be held at Capital High School in Boise and feature married women from across the state.
The winner of the 2018 pageant will be crowned by Mrs. Idaho America 2017 Michele Sheets of Athol. Strickler, of Twin Falls, will compete in three areas of competition including personal interview, physical fitness and evening gown.
The Mrs. Idaho America Pageant is the official state preliminary to the Mrs. America Pageant, now celebrating its 41st anniversary. The Mrs. America Pageant is the longest running pageant honoring America’s 63 million married women. Mrs. Idaho America will go on to compete for the title of Mrs. America with delegates from all 50 states and the District of Columbia.
There will be a state winner and four runners-up. In addition to the overall winner, the pageant will recognize participants who excel in community service and professional careers. The pageant includes a state costume competition representing all aspects of Idaho.
Strickler has been married to Nathan Strickler for five years. They have a 2-year-old son, Hugh. She is a full-time personal banker for Washington Federal. During her free time she enjoys reading, watching movies, and taking scenic drives with Nathan and Hugh. As Mrs. Idaho, Strickler would like to travel the state and spread the message of self-worth through personal growth, while volunteering her time to many organizations.
