TWIN FALLS — Magic Valley High School will feature the “One Book One School” program with all of the staff and students reading the same book. They will analyze the book with discussions, writing essays, artwork and activities. The event in the last few years has been educational and fun for both the staff and students, and they anticipate this year to be the same, said a statement from the school.
The “One Book One School” event will go through Block 9, with the kick-off day on Feb. 21. Each day a section of the book will be read and discussed by the staff and students. There will be a study guide to help each day and to ensure continuity throughout the school.
The selected book for this year is “The Outsiders” by S.E. Hinton to celebrate its 50th year in publishing. The book is known throughout the U.S. by all reading levels and ages.
