SPOKANE, Wash. – Northwest Farm Credit Services has awarded Cassia County Historical Museum in Burley a $1,000 Northwest FCS Rural Community Grant.

“The Cassia County Museum would like to express our sincere gratitude in receiving this grant from Northwest Farm Credit Services,” said Rod Smith, Historical Society president. “The grant will be used for repairs on the old schoolhouse. With these repairs, we hope to show our pride in our history. The Cassia County Historical Society greatly appreciates your support.”

Northwest FCS is committed to helping rural communities succeed. In 2017, Northwest Farm Credit Services committed over $250,000 to 171 projects in rural communities across Idaho, Montana, Oregon and Washington. Since the program’s inception in 2007, it has awarded 805 grants totaling more than $1.46 million.
