ASSE International Student Exchange Programs offers the Walter Danielson Scholarship worth about $11,000 each year to qualifying American high school students interested in studying abroad for one academic year. This opportunity is for academically achieving, motivated students interested in experiencing a different culture and embracing diversity.
The need-based scholarship is offered by nonprofit ASSE International in honor of Walter Danielson, one of the organization’s founders.
Students must have at least a B-plus average and prove financial need to qualify for the scholarship opportunity awarded each year to a select student in North America.
The international student exchange organization offers a comprehensive program where students can choose from a large number of countries and are not required to know the language of the host country.
The application deadline is March 1. High school students may apply online at www.asse.com/become_an_exchange_student and call 1-800-733-2773 for more information.
