TWIN FALLS — A car has struck a train at Curry Crossing.
The crash happened when Russell Weaver, 82, of Hollister, failed to yield to oncoming train signals while driving east on U.S. 30.
The 10-car Eastern Idaho Railroad train was traveling northwest. Weaver's car hit the side of the train, which was then brought safely to a stop.
It does not appear anyone was seriously injured, although the car, a maroon sedan, sustained heavy front-end damage. Both Weaver and his passenger, Ardith Weaver, 79, were wearing seatbelts.
The Twin Falls County Sheriff's Office says to expect delays along Highway 30.
Idaho State Police is investigating the crash.
