The decomposing body of a man was found in the attic of a Twin Falls home on Sunday, according to the Twin Falls Police Department.
The body of Dennis T. Crossman, 45, was found at approximately 8 a.m., at 423 Idaho St. E.
"He actually lived two blocks from where he was found," Twin Falls Police Lt. Craig Stotts said.
Crossman resided at 243 Idaho St. E., and was reported missing on Oct. 15, according to a police press release, which also states that Crossman was reportedly mentally delayed.
Police said the home where Crossman was found has access to the attic through an exterior door, which the renter said he usually leaves unlocked.
Stotts said the renter, a truck driver, returned home from the road and found smells of a decaying body. It's unknown why Crossman entered the home's attic, Stotts said.
An autopsy for Crossman was completed this morning in Ada County and toxicology results will take approximately six weeks to return, according to police.
