TWIN FALLS – Twin Falls County Sheriff Tom Carter is receiving big honors this morning.

He'll recieve a POST Executive Certificate this morning in Boise, the highest certificate awarded to peace officers in Idaho.

POST Chairman Blair Olsen, Division Administrator William L. Flink and members of the POST Council will present Carter the certificate before members of the Idaho Sheriff’s Association at the Riverside Hotel in Boise.

POST is Idaho Peace Officer Standards and Training and is the standard for all Idaho criminal justice professionals including patrol, dispatch, adult and juvenile corrections, detention, probation and parole officers.

Carter has been a certified POST instructor for Emergency Vehicle Operations. He presently holds the Patrol Basic, Intermediate and Advanced certification. He is on the Jail Standards Committee.
