TWIN FALLS — Chocolate lovers, prepare your taste buds.

The Twin Falls Rotary Club hosts its 13th annual Death by Chocolate fundraiser from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Canyon Crest Event Center.

Local shops, restaurants and bakers compete in the event for the public and judges to vote on the best cookies, cakes, candies, brownies and unique deserts. Chocolate treats in each category will be voted first, second, or third place — or Best in Show.

The event includes a no-host bar, a silent auction and a raffle. The Jason Lugo Band will perform live. All proceeds go to benefit local charities, the Twin Falls Rotary Club and its service projects.

Tickets cost $15 in advance, or $20 at the door. To buy them in advance, you can go to to order online and pick them up at the event. Bring your ID to the “will call” table Thursday night in the event center at 330 Canyon Crest Drive.

Tickets can also be purchased at Kurt’s Pharmacy in the Lynwood Shopping Center, 1203 Filer Ave. E., until 6 p.m. Thursday.

The annual Death by Chocolate fundraiser brings in about $30,000.

This year’s participants are: Alice’s Sweets, Ashley Manor, Black Bear Diner, Blu, Bridgeview Estates, Brookdale TF, Cactus Petes, Canyon Ridge High School, Carla’s Creations, CSI Culinary & Baking & Pastry Arts, Frederickson’s, Grace Assisted Living, Gretchen’s Goodies, Magic Valley High School, Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, Scooter’s, Shari’s Café, Sips n Sweet Treats, Sweet Creations by Tammy, Twin Falls High School, Twin Falls Senior Center and Yellow Brick Café.
