TWIN FALLS — The High Desert Nordic Association will meet at 7 p.m. Feb. 21 at Idaho Pizza, 1859 Kimberly Road, Twin Falls. Gather at 6 p.m. for dinner, getting acquainted, and discussion.
The meeting will feature Stacy Smith, fuels planner for Sawtooth National Forest, with a presentation on the Rock Creek Fuels Project. Most of the Nordic trail system in the South Hills is in this fuels-project area.
Greg Fenchel and Jon Lord, HDNA board members, are resigning. Club members will vote to replace them and to elect people to new terms.
The Jan. 6 Free-Ski Day had 56 new skiers trying out the sport at the Magic Mountain Ski Lodge. The Jan. 27 moonlight ski began with a potluck dinner, and after, 40 participants skied in three different groups.
The Nordic group will plan other activities at the meeting, including another moonlight ski before March.
