KETCHUM — The final Environmental Resource Center Winter Tracking Workshop will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the ERC office, 471 Washington Ave. N. Ketchum. Ann Christensen, a longtime Wood River Valley resident and tracker, will be the presenter.  Having studied with famous tracker and author James Halfpenny, Christensen has been introducing people to the secrets of winter animal activity in the snow for decades.

The program will begin by introducing participants to local winter animals, their life history, and their winter adaptations; basics about animal tracking will be included. Participants will then head outside on a snowshoe tracking adventure through the fields and woods north of Ketchum. Novice and experienced trackers of all ages are welcome.

Take snowshoes, warm clothes, water and your curiosity. There is a suggested donation of $10 ERC members and $20 non-members. Space is limited, so pre-registration is encouraged. More information or to register: call 208-726-4333 or email or go to
