TWIN FALLS — The College of Southern Idaho will offer new certificates for their Outdoor Recreation and Leadership Development Program for the 2018 fall semester. This program will give students the option to earn basic technical and/or intermediate technical certificates. The technical certificates are for those interested in careers in recreation, wilderness, leisure, forestry or business related to those fields.

Program length for the hands-on, industry-recognized, skill-based certificates range from one semester to one year to complete. The basic technical certificate will have specific tracks for white water rafting and kayaking, rock climbing and snow survival — or a student can be certified in all three areas. The intermediate graduates will have certification in response/rescue for all outdoor recreation activities throughout the year.

Fall course registration will open April 16. However, students interested in the program are encouraged to start the CSI admissions process now. New students, or students who have been inactive for two or more years, can apply to CSI as a New Student at https://www.csi.edu/apply/default.aspx. Current CSI students should call their advisor at 208-732-6250 or email advsing@csi.edu.

More information: call Jonathan Lord at 208-732-6484 or email ORC@csi.edu.
