TWIN FALLS • The chef of the former Twin Falls restaurant Saucy is offering a four-part culinary course this fall, giving students practice in sauteing, baking, poaching, steaming and blanching.
Chef Mike Dougherty said his “Practicing the Art of Cookery” series is set for 7-9 p.m. on these nights:
Oct. 9, “Cooking Fresh, Seasonal Vegetables.”
Oct. 16, “Baking Quick, Delicious Cookies and Cakes.”
Oct. 23, “Pasta: A Wonderful World of Adventure.”
Oct. 30, “Cooking Fresh Fruit for All Seasons.”
Classes will be at Bakehouse in downtown Twin Falls and will use a number of local, organic ingredients. Saucy will charge $55 for a single class, or $195 for the four-class lineup.
