Twin Falls church offers after school program

TWIN FALLS — The Twin Falls Reformed Church is launching an after school program for first- through third-grade. The Kids’ Zone After School Program is from 3 to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday starting on Aug. 17. There will be transportation provided from Rock Creek Elementary School, Perrine Elementary School and Lincoln Elementary School. The after school program will include help with homework, games, a biblical value of the week and snacks.

BURLEY — AWANA registration for children ages 3 through 12th-grade will be held at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 23 at Crossroads Bible Church, 1550 Parke Ave. in Burley. This is also an opportunity to meet teachers and gather information about this year’s AWANA program.

Pastor to share struggles with eating disorder

BUHL — The Rev. Candace Woodroof will share her story of treatment for an eating disorder at 11 a.m. on Sunday at Buhl Calvary Assembly of God. There will also be information on resources available for those dealing with eating disorder and other types of addictions.

Buhl Calvary Assembly of God is having a yard/rummage sale from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday. This is a fundraiser for the church’s children’s and women’s ministry. Please help by shopping or even by making a donation toward these ministries.

‘Facing the Bogeyman’

TWIN FALLS — Ryan Terry, a longtime member of our Magic Valley Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, will explore how nature can teach us to face and overcome our fears, and provide both the young and the old with opportunities to gain a greater sense of confidence and awareness. Magic Valley Unitarian Universalist Fellowship meets at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday at the Vendor Blender and Event Center, 588 Addison Ave. W. in Twin Falls. TWIN FALLS — Canon Lucinda Ashby will celebrate Holy Communion at 9 a.m. on Sunday, with healing prayer stations available during the service. Ashby is the Transition Minister for the Diocese of Idaho.

Nursery care for children 7 and younger and is available from 8:45 a.m. until after the service. A fellowship coffee hour is held after the worship service. Ascension Café, the adult discussion group, meets after the service.
